How far your money goes

Money goes far in Nepal, and KAT uses contributions extremely efficiently.

Your money rescues stray dogs and other animals in Kathmandu, Nepal

Vaccinate a stray dog or cat

US$1 / NRs 75

We give an anti-rabies vaccination to every street cat and dog who comes to our shelter. In Nepal, more than 200 people die of rabies cases each year. Rabies vaccines are not expensive – with a donation of US$20, we can vaccinate 20 animals!

Sterilize a street dog, and help manage Kathmandu's dog population

US$20 / NRs 1500

You can donate US$ 20 to sterilize and vaccinate a female stray dog. The cost includes medicines and surgical supplies, food for dogs, utilities, bedding clothing for dogs, rent of our property, staff salary costs, and more. The dog is housed at the Centre for three or four days so we can be sure she is healthy before we release her back to her neighborhood.

Provide life-saving Rescue & Treatment for a stray cat or dog in need

US$30 / NRs 2000

The KAT Centre rescues stray dogs and cats of both sexes that are sick or injured. Common problems include skin infections such as mange and injuries from car accidents. We also sterilize the animals we rescue and give them rabies vaccinations. When KAT's veterinarians are sure the dog or cat is healthy, our animal care staff returns them to the place where they were rescued.

Help us in our mission to create a healthy, stable population of street dogs in Kathmandu, and to reduce to risk of rabies to local people. Join our effort today: make a donation, become a Member, sponsor a dog, or sponsor a kennel.

If you can donate any veterinary equipment or other supplies, especially items on our wish list, please contact us at KATinfo@KATCentre.org.np. We can often find people to transport these to Kathmandu, Nepal.
